Micro-teaching Self Reflection
Hi everyone! Today, I would like to mention about real teaching. This reflection is very important for
me because I felt so happy and I lived unforgettable experiences with my students. I will always
remember this memory and I realized that I really want to be a teacher. Despite how nervous and
stressed I was about my micro-teaching session, my micro-teaching experience showed me a lot
about working in front of a classroom. It was very interesting to see how my lesson plan changed as I
began to teach. I was not excited. My topic was 'past tense of to be'. It taught me how lessons do not
always go as planned, how to adapt my approach and the importance of reflecting on my teaching
experience. As a material, I used different worksheets related to the topic. To be honest, I was very
frightened that students do not want to participate so I tried to engage the activities and we did
together first activity .Then, they participated and I felt so happy. Sometimes, some of them made a
mistakes and I tried to explain briefly.
If I did this lesson again, I would change some things. I would add a better warm- up activity at the
beginning of my lesson. I think that I need a better way to drawn my students into the topic. Maybe,
a video, image or song about my titles would be a great way to engage students initially.
Overall, I believe that my lesson went not bad. I am proud of this experiences. I believe that no
matter how long a teacher has been teaching they will make mistakes. A teacher who reflects will see
will what is and is not working and change accordingly. I will consider these, I will try to da best in
my other micro-teaching as a teacher candidate.
